I loved it from day one.
When it was all hands on deck at my first agency. Since then I’ve moved onto media planning and buying, production, client services and finally business development. An account person of all trades. I’ve embraced all aspects of agency life, creating international campaigns to one off communications, producing TV ads and brochures, magazines, apps, mailers and emailers.
I embarked on my journey in a specialist marine agency and disembarked in a travel and leisure agency via health and ageing. I’ve sold yachts, holidays and stairlifts, to name but a few. I’ve developed accounts through brand focus, lead acquisition, new initiatives, partnerships, channels and technologies.
I’ve learnt all the rules; how to bend them and how to create better ones. Ones that work harder for the client and make their clients even happier.
Every day feels like my first day.
Because I still love what I do.
It all began many moons ago staring at a blank sheet of paper and trying to fill it with a powerful idea.
Today my creative thinking embraces strategic thinking, press ads have evolved into pixels, concepts became content, wireless turned into wi-fi, words on a page have become words in a pitch, traditional media encompasses social media, creative ideas are customer journey’s.
I have written ads in creative agencies like Lowes and WMGO, been creative director in international agencies such as Euro’s and JWT and owned and run agencies like BCD&P and SOUK.
I’ve created countless TV ads, penned many press ads, written posters with few words, blogs with a few more words and corporate brochures with lots of words.
I’ve won business, awards and sold a ton of stuff.
And still the blank page beckons.
